Summer time = Haying time!!

Summer is such a beautiful time of year here.....and one season everyone looks forward to.....but all that beauty requires a lot of work. There is irrigating of pastures, house & barn repairs, gardens to plant & harvest, and of course, haying. Fortunately, we don't have to do all the hard work with haying itself. We just drive to our friend's ranch and load up the bales in our horse trailer while it's fresh in the field. We have gone twice to pick up our hay. The first time, Troy's brother Tod and our sister-in-law, Judy, helped us buck hay. The second time, our niece, Natalie was here to help out. Hay time is an important business around here as our animals need all that good feed when winter comes.

Hubby grew up on a farm doing that job. It smells delicious - like the whole world is baking bread!
